Hey what happened to the performance trim?

If you didn’t want to pay for all of that stuff, why not just go for the base model to save a couple of grand?
Also side airbags were on option on any trim

OK Guys
Anyone read my earlier reply? Said in a different way - they priced the performance model out of the lineup.
Prices: 2005
Enthusiast 6MT - $28,750
Performance - $30,950
Touring 6MT - $33,700
Difference Enth. to Perf. - $2,200
Difference Enth. to Tour - $4,950.
Prices 2006
Enthusiast 6MT - $29,150
Touring 6MT - $32,250
Difference Enth. to Tour - $3,100
See what I'm saying here? For $900 more than last year's delta to the Performance you get the leather seats & the Bose, and everything that the performance model had. Nissan reduced the price on the Touring 6MT by $1,450, pricing the Performance out of the line up. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Skeleton, FI your 35th and you will see the difference. Some of the specs of the engine are different. I had mine done at SGP (lots of experience and very reputable). They were very surprised at the amount of whp with such little boost.

BTW the Roadster numbers may be misleading: a Roadster owner may annotate his car as “Touring” or “Enthusiast” and not “Roadster.” Its a common error that makes the number of Roadsters appear deceptively low.

Thanks for the anwers and speculation
