Wait a minute, in your signature you use slang "Burbs".

If you put a 100 foot roll of door edgeguard on you're car, you’re a ricer.

If you put colored windshield wipers on you're car, you’re a ricer.

If your tailpipes are from Home Depot, you’re a ricer.

If you bondo any “M” part to your car, you’re a ricer.

If none of the body panels match, you’re a ricer.

If you are color blind, you’re a ricer.

If the weight to hp ratio exceeds 20, you’re a ricer.

It doesnt matter how fast your car is, it does not make it any less rice to put hideous kits/wings/colors/wheels on your car.

Excellent definition. The old base model Civics with Type R and VTEC stickers are what I seem to remember the term first being used for.

That said, I now use the subjective OMFG, that looks so cheesy! criteria to define "rice". That would include clear taillights, any exterior CF that isn't painted to match the rest of the car, most body kits, A pillar gauges (especially when they duplicate existing gauges in the dash), neon lighting, painted multi-bladed windshield wipers (haven't seen that in a while, thank god ), tint that isn't some shade between clear and black, gold rims or badges, spinner rims (or Walmart spinner hubcaps, heh), and most stickers. I'll except club decals and parking permits.

By the way, in some circles, namely the muscle car and the BMW/Mercedes crowd, any Z might be considered rice no matter how tastefully unmodified it is. It all comes down to personal opinion.

Who manufactures the S-foils and laser cannons for the Z? I was thinking about going FI but I think I'll save for TIE drive instead.

"LITTLE THINGS"= brake failure haha

isn't the purpose of going cf to save weight ...why would you want to paint it

eh I disagree. I love seeing Z's that look like stock but when you see their engine bay and you notice they are supporting a full TT kit with an engine build up. The only body kit that looks nice for the the Z33 is the Nismo one. Really flows well with the car and its actually functional ( according to Nismo). Rims are not rice unless they are chrome rims and are the wrong size i.e. 22's. 18 or 19 inch racing rims are not RICE. Like Alberto said it only should be on a lowered car. I didn't get my rims until I got my S-tune kit done. That riceboy page was funny as ****. Lowering a car with brand name producsts is not considred rice.. Nismo, Tien, HKS, etc. Lambo is always rice, neon, useless body kits, scoops, vents, chrome rims, clear corner lenses, euro lights, stickers, people who run spare tires and rims on all 4 corners, universal mufflers, and for those of you who say CF is RICE... to me CF only looks good on a black car. Anything else is rice unless its done correctly like Rickdogg's gutted Z.

So if the definition of "Rice" is to make your car look like a higher model than it is, what do you call "clones" or replicas? For example, muscle cars from the 60's that are cloned out of lesser models. For example, a replica 66 Shelby Mustang that was born a regular 66 fastback, but someone meticulously added the proper engine, interior and paint to fool most people into thinking it's the real thing? This was seen as a legitimate and respectable hobby, and I think it still is. Other popular clones include the '69 Z28, SS and Yenko.

Just my opinion, but cloning the proper engine, interior, and paint of a classic is completely different than throwing a red 'R' sticker on a stock Honda.
