Default ok, who has paid how much for the performance Z?

I am now looking into this. I see that classified section where people are talking about as much as 1700$ below MSRP. i am curious to see who has been getting what kind of deal.
I would like to save as much as possible so they can be rolled into the Mod fund.
thanks!

$35.5k.

Includes $2k Nav and $2k chrome wheels that were cut from $3k, Lo Jack at dealer cost ~$300-$350. The door floor boards & Mats. I guess it woud have been about $31k (MSRP) without these options.

Not bad considering I saw a Sunset touring at Miller Nissan for $44.5k with essentially the same options except for the leather seats and heated mirrors. Get this: $4.5k for anti-theft. I said, "what's this for?" and was advised it was for locks for the air bags. I cracked up and said, "what"? Salesman eventually explained, it was a mark-up. He said, "looking to buy another Z?" to which I responded, "not like that."

Pre-orderd @ MSRP on Feb 2, 2002.

Ended up paying 30,650 including floor mats and kick plates.
300 in license and doc fees
540 destination charge
2500 CA state sales tax.

About 34K out the door.

Was willing to pay 35K OTD for the car, so I'm happy.

Brickyard Performance, BTW.

-D'oh!

Wooo hooo - I just noticed I've finally become a 350Z regular!!!

thanks! how do you like the navigation? i had navigation on my 02 bmw 330ci and it was worth the money. It was not touch screen though. Also they had module to add that would enable voice recognition. Please give me ur input to if this is worth an option to you. Of course at the end i will make the decision.
31.5k is not bad at all..

best regards!

as much as i love california girls and weather - i hate the huge tax.
we have 3% tax in VA. I guess i will save money on that. I found some dealer in OH for 1300$ off msrp. I am in no rush, I want my car by mid summer, so i guess i will keep on shopping.

thanks for your input. it is much appreciated.

It's good. You can find locations with a telephone number, by street, by what you're looking for (ie: restaurant (including food style/culture), night life, airport, hotel etc.) I found an awesome restaurant by the beach in Santa Barbara that I would never have found without using the Nav. It gives clear directions, you can store locations (ie: places you frequent). Best of all, if you are stuck in traffic, you can always use an alternate route using the map and it will re-route.

It's worth the $2k for me since I travel to a lot of locations for depositions that would otherwise require me to use a Thomas guide or Mapquest.

p.s. You know you're going fast (100+ mph) when you see the map quickly scrolling by.
