Default Slip light keep fleshing? is my VDS broke?

I got a perowned 04 touring A/T (dont flame my for this tranny, yet ). The last own got a 18" (Front & rear size 245/40/18) Verde Chrome rim on it and I believe the engine is stock.

My problem is the slip light on the left side of the speed meter keep fleshing, after 15 min driving on freeway every single time. So I got to turn off the VDC. However, the slip light never light up, when I'm on local street. I'm not a hardcore drive (proly the reason for A/T ). So, that mean I dont race or drive aggressive. Any great person in this forum know what is going on?

BTW, I just order a new set of rims. It's RPM 505 (Black finish) 18" staggered. Some people tell me the last rims size is wrong. So, what size of the tire I need to get for my new rims? Let me know what you guy think!!! I will post some picture of my car, once the wheel installed.

Yeah. Perhaps the tire sizes are incorrect.

VDC is looking for taller tires in the rear. If both the front and rear wheels are turning at the same RPM, VDC “thinks” that the rear tires are spinning. So you get SLIP.

both the front and rear are 245/40/18?
likely your problem there should be a .5-.75 inch height differance on the tires between the rear and front to keep everything in check
also this can effect the anti-lock brakes from working perfectly

looks like I got beat on the post^^^

as far as i know:
you should have
Front: 225/45/18
Rear: 245/45/18

OR

Front: 245/40/18
Rear: 275/40/18

Seems logical to me that the wrong outside diameter starts to make a higher impact at higher speeds and sets of VDC on freeway.

But I am not an expert, I just did a lot of research on this forum prior to buying my tires for the slightly wider NISMO wheels.

Some real experts may be able to confirm that going from 245/45/18 in the rear to your wrong 245/40/18 does indeed cause the slip light to go on.

hope this helps.
