Just picked up my car from the shop for stereo work, after checking it all out, it seems like i'm missing a cover. Its right beside the handle for popping open the hood (under the steering column). All i see now is a white connnector there. Sorry dont have pics yet, hope you guys can help me out. I asked the shop and they said there was nothing there.
I don't remember any open space under the steering wheel that shows some exposed white connector, but when I go out to the car I'll be sure take a look. I think they owe you a missing dash panel.

Thats probably what its for, but looks like i'm missing a cover to it.
Is the connector part of a wiring harness? Iow, can you move it around? Maybe the wiring is hanging lower than before and you just need to push it back up behind the lower dash cover. Some wiring harnesses have flexible straps to tie them to brackets or other wiring (in order to keep them from flopping around). Alternatively, you could use a "zip" tie from the hardware store. I'm just offering possibilities. Without actual pictures, it's hard to say.
