Get the Z back today!!!!!!!!
I just got the best news I've been waiting for since HURRICAN WILMA, my car is finally DONE with all the repairs $4700 later. 5pm won't come fast enough so I can get out of here and go get my baby. I'm just hoping they got the paint to match, and got everything exactly the way it was! I don't think I can take not having my car for another day. First thing is to go fill the tank then just burn it all LOL. Second thing after my fun is over, I'm going to adjust my clutch so it is easier to shift. I've always hated the Clutch in the Z, but since I found how to adjust the clutch I'm doing to do that, then take the car out again and just contiune the FUEL consumtion. Ok I'm going to stop talking now or I'm going to leave early

You can readjust your clutch to engage off the floor about an inch and it will still have at least an inch of play on the high side as well. Even during 6500rpm shifts. I checked it. I had to readjust mine cause it was driving me crazy. This is the only car I have ever owned that engaged so high. I like the feeling of the clutch engaging just a bit off the floor. The problem I found it that if I went too far the return springs wouldn't pull that pedal all the way back up like it should. So, I just added a extra spring to make sure it returned completely.
BTW- the adjusting rod has a locknut on it. It shouldn't change on it's own as long as you tighten it up good. It is hard to get to with little wrenches but, not awful.
