If they are just re-spraying the outside with the same color as origional do they really have to take the entire car apart?

hey. (i'm not a male) i was going to paint it "mary kay pearl pink" but then my dad wouldnt let me, so im painting it back to the factory red color. i watched them paint it. the whole car was primered grey and they sprayed the red. in the picture, it's just the first layer of red. and i got all new oem nissan bumpers and fenders.

if re-painting the same color you dont "Need" to remove the lights...

but the bumpers and any new body panels should have been painted off the car and installed after paint...

imho

Even though insurance is paying, you have the right to choose your own body shop.

Yeah, that looks like a $250 crap paint job you slap on a beater before you try to sell it in order to up the resale value. No way would I ever let a shop paint my car like that.
