Due to holiday mail traffic (not to mention Thanksgiving holidays taken by the printers, the nerve), the issue is slowly making its way into mailboxes. Subscribers should get their copies before bookstores and a chosen few have already reported getting their Winter 2006 edition. I promise it'll be worth the wait....

I need to remember to upgrade to 1st Class delivery. The standard 3rd class delivery takes 4 to 6 weeks and it sucks getting tidbits from everybody else here about the contents of the magazine.

The magazine went into the responsibility of the US Postal Service last week, and subscribers started receiving their copies on Saturday. Most readers should see their new issue within the next week or two. For info on Sport Z Magazine including how to subscribe, visit www.sportzmagazine.com or call circulation at 505-771-2374.

Dave,

Which printer do you use? My wife works for a technology magazine here in town and they get their stuff printed by a company in Kentucky. I could find out more info for you about productions costs if you want. My wife does all the production work for them.

PM me.

We use Branch Smith out of TX and they actually have been quite good to us. But having other options is never a bad idea. Thanks.

BTW, for folks posting here, please let me know when you receive SZM. We've recently found an error with the post office and now our magazine should be getting to our subscribers faster (in some cases even faster than first class). Thanks.

We have gone nuts with the USPS for sure. I was all over the Fort Worth PO before the Fall 2005 issue hit the mail and I think I may have found the problem. With the fall issue, there were virtually no problems. Got back in their face before the winter issue hit the mail.

We had some hold-ups (Thanksgiving and printer delays) but they went out in the mail on December 7th. Hopefully Santa traffic will be kind to us this year.

BTW, our new T-shirts are available. Nice stocking stuffer.

Actually, the printer is me. I am Canyon Creek Productions (best printing broker in the land. Eh, eh, eh)(see our masthead). The printer I work with offers the best quality (there was a small problem with this issue), price and turn-around available. They have a 8 unit web roll feeder sheet-fed perfecting press with computer controls second-to-none. As a long-time printing broker, I've worked with printers all over the country. For Sport Z Magazine they are the best fit. However, there was a small glitch in this issue that most readers will never see. I strive for perfection and I'm at it 100%.

BTW, I know of many of the larger printers in Kentucky and SZM would not be a good fit for most (I believe).

Thank you very much for offering your help. It means a lot to me. Art and Dave would agree. The production of SZM is us; Art, Dave and me. Our wonderful writers dig into the world of Z and G and the three of us git 'er done. We welcome all suggestions and thank you for yours.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays my350z.com members and to all who read our magazine as well.

Bob

A photo of the "real" T-shirt will be up on our Home Page later today or tomorrow morning (depending on webmaster). A "temp" ad has been on our Home Page for about a week. The temp image is actually the image screened onto the T. Image size is about 14 X 13 inches.
