Just wondering if anyone else is getting a lot of paint chips on their hood. Only have 3500 miles on 05' and already have some very obvious chips. Is paint thick enough????

 

Nissan paint is cheap, I had my whole car repainted

 

Had my first chip @ 500 mi. now have broken windshield @ 4000. This thing is a magnet for road crap. Used the clear bra to save it a little.

 

Got them already. Should've gotten the clear bra sooner. Damn it.

 

Am at 32K miles not too bad but I got a few chips on the hood and one of the front part of the roof, bought some touch up paint from nissan yesterday.
Yeah Nissan paint is thin but that tends to go for all Japanese cars I've owned

 

There are many threads in this forum about the crappy cheap Nissan paint. Do a search and you'll find this is an ongoing problem. My DB '05 Z with 18500 miles has way too many chips to count on the front bumper and hood.

seeing how my car is more of a track purpose car as opposed to "show car" like my last cars, I don't mind them as much. Annoying......yes, but ive learned to live with them.


its also better if u buy the car used, you dont mind as much
