Hey Rizzness,

I ordered my Z at Kelly Nissan of Lynnfield (RT.1 North). When I went there they had like 8 or so in stock, mostly silvers and black.. 1 Track orange and Perf model White.. I NEEDED the daytona blue and the Enthu with Aero.. I did an internet search and found NO models in any dealerships within 20 miles of Boston that had what I wanted.. So I figured the best thing was to order the car, skip the dirty winter, save some extra money and get the car I want..

I got the Enthu model dayton blue with aero, kick plates, floor and truck mats and splash guards and got it for exactly MSRP $29,614. The sales guy I had was real nice, no pressure.. And one cool thing was because I got pre-approved for financing from Nissan (frm nissandriven.com) and brought in my confirm # when i ordered I got like $400+ in freebees..

I got for free:

My first 2 oil changes free from Nissan
Locking wheellocks
Z car model (the good one, not plastic)
And a free car cover w/ lock

My order date was 12/14/02 and got a 75-90 day wait...

Feel free to PM me of there is anything else you wanna know..

I was one of those who had to see and sit in a car before ordering. I placed my order after the first of the pre-order arrived, on August 26th. Dealer told me a delivery date of December - January. They called me back in mid September to give me an order number. In late October they told me an ETA of December 3rd. In mid November they called to give me a VIN and a revised ETA of late December. Then the car showed up on Nissan's inventory site on the 5th of December. Few days later, my salesman called me to tell me the car was rolling off the truck. I got my car on December 12th. Early X'mas Present :-)

Good one, Westpak!

I ordered Feb. 15, got a Sept. delivery date, was told my car "did not serialize" and finally took delivery on Oct. 23.

These young'uns need to CHILL!

My order got placed in October, got order # shortly after that, got VIN# at the beginning of December. My car was suppose to arrive before Christmas...then on December 28th...then it got delayed. I had my sales manager call NNA and he found out that it is now at the port and will get here on the 20th.

If you are ordering a Touring model, I wouldn't even bother ordering...they are so common, you should be able to find one at some dealer somewhere. The dealers around me seem to have mostly Touring/Track, with Base/Enth/Perf extremely rare.

Strawman53, Brando222, WashuJon, & Wildone_106;

We’re all on the West Coast, waiting for cars to be delivered in Jan/Feb. I've been talking to Rahtok who lives up in the Seattle area (I'm in Portland, Oregon). Rahtok called NNA last Monday (must have been Jan 6th) and they said his car would be in the LA area (we think all the cars for the West coast are being shipped to LA) around Jan 22nd.

My dealer called me two days ago (Jan 9th) to give me a VIN number and revise my expected delivery date from Feb 2nd to Feb 10th. Rahtok shared the link to the Sea-Freight Co that Nissan uses http://www.hual.com/ (note that it's not haul.com it's hual.com). The only ship we see arriving in the LA area is on February 2nd (Hual Trailer is the name of the ship, Voyage #191), but there are none in January. There was one that arrived at the very end of December.

Rahtok has a vin # (last six digits) at the beginning of the 11,000 series and mine is just shy of 13,000. Supposedly mine went into production November 20th. His dealer said his was manufactured on Nov 28th. I suspect that means our cars were part of the same month's production run.

As anecdotal evidence (we're all fishing for information at the moment), I ordered my car Sept 14th. I knew the dealers already had allocation for October and they indicated they would submit my order at the beginning of November. Their original guestimate was Dec/Jan and recently revised from Feb 2nd to Feb 10th. I'm thinking the info I got from the dealer seems to line up with the manufacturing time frame, and the shipping schedules. I’m betting all of our cars are on the ship that docks Feb 2nd. Hope that helps...
