Default 03 Z holding up well after 76k miles

Ok here is my brief review of my Z as I just passed 76,000 miles. I am still on the same tranny the car was purchased with and no major problems shifts fine and no grinding. I had the window grease fix done and the grease never returned. I also had the 03 bose replaced with a 04 bose so I can hookup a RCA input adapter but now for some reason the sound sometimes only comes out of the passenger side once in a while. I had the dreaded hatch not open with one button press of the key fob or the button underneath. I posted a simple fix for this using 2 pennies a while back. I recently ran into a problem with my driver side window failed to work and had a fix done on the passenger side window. The passenger side window would go up and then by it's self go down half way. I had some concern with abnormal oil consumption but I just have to check more often that usual. The wierd thing about the oil is that when I started using sinthetic blend it burned faster. I had one of my HID bulbs go out on me and also the two rear license plate light burn but that is about it as lighting is concerned. The A/c control buttons are kinda really loose and once in a while if I turn off the A/C it automatically blows in auto and the only way to turn off the A/C I have to turn the car off and then turn it back on. I may have pinched the A/C controls cable when installing my Stereo so that may have caused that to happen. The tires well I have real bad feathering and loudness on my tires but I will soon replace all my Sh1tenza's with some other brand and hopefully the tire roar will go away....So after so many miles overall my car has held up well. Anyone near the amount of miles I have with MAJOR problems chime in

Congrats! 56k on mine and no real issues either other than feathering...

Non-350Z owners often refer to the 2003 are the lemon of 350Zs: nothing could be further from the truth. There are transmission and front tires problems with the 2003, but what vehicle is perfect?

46K on my '03 base and no real problems other than tire roar and an addiction to drive above the speed limit.

One morning back in March of 2003, i just happened to walk into a nissan dealership and walked out with my Z within 15 mins. i've never regretted it since.

Me too, I barely looked at the papers while signing (not a good thing), I was looking out the window at the Z I was about to take home.

03 Touring with 44,000 miles. I have had window motor issues, feathering and the rear hatch struts replaced. I still have grease marks on the windows but they wipe off. The distance the key fob works from is dwindling and the gearbox isn’t completely smooth. Other minor issues that would go away if there was a competent dealer around but overall, very pleased with the car.

I bought 2003 Touring 6 speed with navigation used with 24k. Now I have 50,800 miles.

I have taken it to the dealer for numerous fixes. But here's what bugs are left:

Driver's side window rolls up and goes back down if I used Auto-Up. (it may have been caused by a long screw I used to install the door speaker)

Tranny looks to have been replaced when I bought my car. No problems besides some notchiness during warm up. No grinding at all.

Minor tire feathering.

It's a very enjoyable car.

When properly maintained and not driven crazy hard, Nissan V6's will last a very long time. I just turned 206,000 miles on my 2000 maxima. Just regular oil changes, air filter, plugs every 75,000 miles, transmission fluid once, new starter, and I had to replace the fuel rail once at 140,000 miles.

I now only use it for work and have never wondered about being stranded. I would expect to keep the Z long enough to get near 100,000 before I sell or trade for a newer one.

My 85 300zx turbo was at 180k when it was totaled and by brother's 81 280zx had over 200k when he sold it.

Mine does the auto-up, halfway down on both windows. I am going to take it to the dealer for a bunch of minor things. Mine is an 03 with 35k. It has the hatch problem, the window streak problem, and those auto-up-half-down windows.
