For less than $1000 you can get a brand new 06 base.

Blue book(in my area) says retail 26,335. What a person should expect for trade in value is anywhere between 15,085-18,075. If this all hold true, that means they are making around 7k. I say you offer 24k and see what happens, I think that is reasonable. Keep in mind you can get a brand new one for around 27k.

RIP OFF if it has 12K miles. Try around $19-20K!

He is in SanDiego, so i believe it is a whole different market. Dont think you could find an 05 base with 12,000miles for 22k in california at a dealership. I could be wrong. Dont even think you can get a brand new Base for 26k around here.

I bought a brand new '05 base for $24,900. $25,400 is way too much for a used one. Go for the new '06, I wish I would've.

I bought an '05 Enthusiast with 5600 miles last month for $24,000 from a new car dealer in Mississippi, for whatever that's worth.

I just got a quote from a SoCal dealer for 600 below invoice on an 06. That makes your base $25,679 before TTL. Get an 06 or deal the 05 down.

my 05 base is kbb'd @ 27,000ish still, so I'd say that's about right. Not a good deal, but it's about right. Use its 'base-model'ness to leverage the price. I actually bought mine brand new for 26,163 because it was a base and the dealer had a hard time moving 6MT.
In other words, if the dealer sells only 5AT models (to housewives of rich people), then you can twist their arm on this one.

I was about to but a 05 z with 2,500 miles for $23500 from a private party here in Florida. I walked away because of the color. It was ppw, nice car but I'm looking for either black or silver......

Herbgordon is were I bought my Z from. They have some of the cheapest prices I have seen. Also keep in mind that the 26K is an internet only price.
