Default Just got my car back

Just got my car back from Regal Nissan, Roswell GA.... They replaced my tranny, and clutch under warranty, I don't know it feels really weird....

I bought my car used and never had a chance to drive a brand new 350z before, my old clutch was really really heavy, and now with this new clutch it feels like a feather compared to the old one... Normal? I like it but not use to it yet... 1st to 2nd gear shakes really bad!!! input please!!

I'm not sure about 1st to 2nd shaking part, but
the new clutches are definitely lighter, especially after fresh install.
Mine stiffened up in a few days after the install..feels pretty good now.
I didn't like it when the clutch is too light on the sports car.

My 05 clutch is light (like stepping on the brakes 'light') and I am use to it. I've noticed that people with 03 and 04's have heavy clutches compared to mine. Most likely you got the newer versions of the clutch and tranny.

Can you elaborate on the 1st/2nd gear shaking?

yeah, the new clutch will feel light, after replacing my tranny and clutch (jwt clutch combo) I stalled out a coupla times while leaving the dealership and had to get used to it for a coupla days... But its perfectly fine, dont worry about it. 1st and 2nd gear are not supposed to be shaky... but explain what you mean by that? what shakes? The whole car? shifter? My shifter vibrates during first a second gear, but not that bad...and my 1st gear is really loud (sound like a supercharger spooling...its weird) ... If the whole car shakes, I say, go back and tell them... drive with a mechanic in the car and point it out...otherwise they will give you the usual "its normal" answer.

A new transmission and clutch will always feel weird. Just like driving a new car for the first time. Give yourself time.

That is not normal. I have a 'clunk' in 1st gear but that's just how the tranny is; but it doesn't shake the whole car. Get it checked out.

definately do that.... Its not supposed to shake, even if its new... It could be normal, and might even go away in a coupla weeks, but you never know...they might've messed something up during installation and it can get worse.

Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

if your car is shaking when you first take off it is possible they did not align the clutch disk properly. A clutch disk that is not aligned properly can cause the shaking when you let go of the clutch when accelerating from a stop. Have it checked out ASAP though.
