Default New Guy Here

hey guys. i am new to the nissan 350 forums but not with cars at all. i used to own a toyota supra, then sold it cuz i had profit made on it and got a mitsubishi 3kgt vr4 whcih caught on fire about a month ago and now i am driving my daily and looking into the new z. i have heard so much good things about them, like the power curves and the f/i results at 6 psi. very, very impressive.

my question to you guys since i am new with the z is, how much power can the stock internals handle? i am looking at greddy tt it and would like to hit at least 430whp. to you guys with turbo 350z, what other mods will i need to make sure my car is running in good conditions?

this will be my grad present from college/university so it will be a keeper and will also be my weekend car.

thank you to all you guys who post replies and hopefully i will post up soon a couple of vids, pics, and drag races of the z.

elmer

Welcome and from what i have read in the FI forums, 430 should be easily attained from stock internals with FI. The kits are usually complete (as least the APS is) and some people have gotten them up to 500hp on stock internals if im correct. I remember reading up to 20k miles on stock internals and have read nothing about blown motors of these kits yet. GL on your car and your mods, im hoping to join FI soon

it's cool that you're getting a Z as a grad present...but you're 19 and you're already done with college??

ppl are shooting for 450whp on stock internals. and one guy reached 550whp. for me I wouldn't take the risk and exceed the 430whp without upgrading the internals...

i should be 20-21 when i graduate, took extra classes and did about 5 of my classes credit by exam. kinda helped alot.

i am looking to hit 430, maybe 450max, and after a year or two upgrade pistons, rods, cams, and maybe a pulley kit. this will not be a daily driver, mainly a weekend car and from what i see it will be ok with a good tune.
