Cargo Volume
The 350Z has a cargo volume of 6.8 cu ft. I can't find my old brochures so does anybody know the cargo volume of a 1990 300ZX or a 1994 RX7 ?

Are you guys kidding me ?!?
2003 Nissan 350Z = 6.8 cu ft
1997 mazda RX7 = 17 cu. ft
1990 Nissan 300ZX = 23.7 cu ft
My 1994 RX7 has a lot less cargo space than my 1990 Z. According to these numbers the 2003 Z will have 1/3 the space of the 1990 Z and 1/2 the space of the RX7. If this is true then this is pathetic. I find that I can just barely get what I need in the RX7. If the space is cut in half I'm in big trouble. That means there is barely enough space for an overnight bag or a golf bag.

Its the ever so cool rear strut brace. The one that looks nice and stiffens the chasis just a tiny bit and changes handeling just a tiny bit. And 99% percent of drivens will never experience that gain but after a year or so they will wish that strut brace was not there. The brace is the reason I'm buying a 6 speed G35,

I remove the strut brace in the back of my 1994 RX7 when I need to carry stuff like a Christmas tree, a piano/keyboard, lumber, etc. It comes off by popping two plastic covers and removing two bolts. However, it's not as substantial an assembly as in the new 350Z.

I don't think the strut brace itself is taking up much space. One of the reviewers said that it is right next to the hatch glass so with the brace gone, the glass would be in the way. What I do think takes up too much room is all the plastic trim around it. I'll be removing that stuff. Really I don't care, because I have an SUV. You guys that need to haul stuff should spend two or three thousand on a beater pickup.
