Give him a break on his first post. The guy doesn't even have a car yet, let alone an owner's manual.

The problem originates with the Nissan dealers. I was told the same thing when I was getting my car. An major impediment to a "Z" is the increased cost of fuel. To a kid, that's a big expense. When he's told he can use 87 octane, he doesn't know any better.

Since all you "experts" here DO know better, why don't you write your own manuals then?

Agree^^^^^but his first mistake was believing a dealer about anything.
