Well maturity does come into play when one measures "a mans pride" with wannbe streetracers picking races. Dont you think?

i wasnt saying that it's not ok to mod your car, i'd love to go FI with my Z, but i dont have the $$. My point was, that if you feel your pride is at stake because some kid with a Honda wants to race you(and very well might beat you) and this would take away your manhood?... you obviuosly have some growing up to do. Like some of the other guys said theres always going to be somebody faster than you. If he said--- hey i track my car etc. etc. and im looking to put up some better numbers what can i do for 10k...thats cool and respectable. but doing it so you can feel like a tough guy when you beat a couple hondas on the street is pathetic. If thats what your after, just sell the Z and get an STI or better yet an srt-4, wooohoooooooooo!

everybody buys thier Z for a different reason... i bought mine because i loved the car and my dad had a 72' 240Z. so i decided to try to make mine a 12 second car as well. i wouldn't say it hurts my "pride" when i lose a race to a ricer. cause MAYBE they have thier pride in thier car, even though its not as expensive it still could be thier heart and soul car. trying to change eachothers views of what the car is used for is useless because you all got it for a personal reason (most of you) when i lose a race because it came down to driver... yes my pride is hurt. who cares if you lose a race to a sleeper civic.. try driving downtown on a friday night and see who looks better...

Did that include the clutch and flywheel? Does that come with the necessary guages? Is the exhaust system including the test pipes also in that price? Are there any safety precautions such as upgraded radiator, oil cooler, or catch can included in that price? I suppose his car already has wider wheels and tires? You guys are fooling yourselves thinking you can get a TT car for less than $15K. Figure $14K as the minimum necessary amount to go TT not including wheels and tires. If you want to stay at right about exactly $10K not including your wheels and tires, then the Turbonetics single turbo is the way to go. You can get in and out with all necessary components for right at about $10K.

Why the ? You got beat by a RS6 and you're mad about it? I wouldn't be. Props that you got to race an RS6. I would do it just to see that thing go. Those cars are sick. Its rare you find one of those to race you. How bad was the lashing? If you dont mind me asking.
