Don't give them any money until you see the car, keys, and title with your own eyes.

This is 100% definitely a scam. They will probably try to do something whack like:

They send you money FIRST (for some bullsh!t reason), then they say "OOPS we sent you too much" and ask for you to write a check for the amount "you owe them." Then their transfer bounces and your check clears. You lose.

You mean to tell me that if the car had a salvage title and it was $6K, you wouldn't want it? Just so you know, these cars with salvage title and still wrecked go for near $10K depending on the severity of the damage. A very badly damaged one will still fetch $6K easily.
