Default Ok... I got water in my car.... wtf

I always noticed a little bit of moisture on my drivers side carpet. It was always under the floormats so i thought (hey maybe when it was raining some water went off my shoes and just got stuck there. WRONG!!!

Today i washed my car. I took all the floormats out. After i dried the car I open the door and found a pathway of dropplets comming from the brake pads (the place where it meets the frame) I saw some rust there too!!! WTF anyone else have this problem? Could it just be its sealed wrong?

Im def gonna go to the stealership to get this checked out. Better be covered under warranty! and they better replace the part thats rusting cuase i sure as hell know i got a corrosion warranty too!

Take it to the dealership. I think anti perforation warranty goes til 10 years. Should be covered.

stealership should take care of it, but always make them do a walk around and note any damage on/in you car, have them give you a copy. when you pick it up go over it, i have once to take mine to a dealership and they not mess something up. but doing the above i was prepared, and they have taken care of everything, they cant to see me coming but oh well.

if your car smells? you can probably get them to replace drivers side carpet and underpad as well. i would want them to pull out carpet and see if its wet underneath, but i dont know how bad your leak was? its definetely worth asking about

Unfortunately members have had problem with rust, and NISSAN did not help. There is some stipulation in the warranty about rust on the exterior paint. Still, I wish you the best.

no it doesnt smell.... i will take pics next time i wash the car lol... basically a drop after drop accumulated in one spot causing a little puddle. When i shoved my head by the brake, gas pedal, clutch i noticed some rust

I will tell them to replace my carpet and "undercarpet" and to get rid of the rust. Ill also tell them to check if the part under the carpet didnt rust. I sure as hell dont want rust in my car.

just be polite when you go in, as your service guy can make or break you, i always use the same one, so he knows how picky i am, and he does everything he can to accomidate me, now if the techs would get a clue?

Well I drilled a hole through my firewall for my aftermarket stereo/underbody lighting so if you have aftermarket work done, you should be careful. Best of luck.

Had the same problem with my 2000 prelude, what happen was when they alarm guy at the dealership ran the wires thru the engine bay to inside the car he took out a rubber plug and forgot to put it back in, so when it rained heavily one day all the water was shooting up through that hole and flooding my floor inside the car. They replaced the carpet and floor mats and gave the bill to the alarm guy
