Default Is it possible...navigation system?

Hey,

I'm getting ready to buy an 04 350z, and I had a navigation question.

Is it possibly to buy an OEM navigation system afterwards and have it installed by the dealer? I would assume not, but I figured I'd ask around here where people know what they're talking about.

why would you do that? it will cost MUCH more. If you buy them with the car, it only cost you $1800 more.

because the particular USED one I'm looking at doesn't have one... It's a cream puff other than that; 8,000 miles.

or you can use aftermarket. The cost of the OEM nav unit is not cheap. the labor that dealer charge you to install is not cheap and i don't know if they can even install something like that. Another alternative way for you is using aftermarket NAV hardware

This has been discussed many times on this site. The labor Nissan charges for the job is near $3000 without any parts included. Go aftermarket.

+1 on aftermarket. Just get it installed by a reputable shop. There's nothing magical about OEM.

I have used the OEM system and I think it actually is pretty great. I like it more than any others I have used. It is a good deal when buying the car. It is not a good deal to do it later on.

Definately go with aftermarket, then you can kill two birds with one stone and get a headunit that has nav/cd/dvd/mp3.

Actually, it's not even doable. besides you can get a very nice aftermarket unit with more features, cheaper.
