Default 80 MPH howl...?

Strange thing ive noticed over the past few days getting used to my 03Z. On the expressway, when i gently hold the car at 80 MPH there is a whistle or some sort of howl from the engine. I havent noticed this at other speeds. Has anything like this happened to anyone else?? thanx

Yeah, it happened to me some time ago. Now I don't hear it anymore because: got used to it so I don't hear it anymore, the music's too loud, or it simply stopped producing the sound. Sorry that I couldn't help you much.

I hear that all the time coming from the vents.. first I thought it was some kind of warning to slow down. Very annoying

I've been wondering the same, sounds like wind currents but I bet it's a moving part in the engine bay. Has any1 figured out what this is yet? No one seems to have an answer...

Chris

Same here, +/- 2 mph and the sound is gone.

Actually I kind of like it, because it reminds me to slow down a little on the highway.

yea i definitly hear that but you gotta just ignore it and remind yourself your in a early made z... its a little less plush than the new z's. Just one of the down sides to having a older z.
