its easy and everyone here knows how easy it is. its just that nitrous is for some people and it isnt. i picked up a borla exhaust for 150. intake for 100. test pipes for 180. and a used nitrous kit for 350 i think... cant remember exact price. there are more than enough epoeple taht run 125-175 shot on thier Z's on this forum. i run either 100 or 150 shot depending on circumstances.

 

LOL you can nitrous any car. If you wanted to get used performance parts for the EVO along with nitrous, it would still beat you. I'm talking everyday performance that isn't based off of inflated nitrous numbers.

how is nitrous inflated... like i said run what u brought... and from what ive heard evos go boom when is sprayed unless its built bottom end. something abotu the engine not liking the spray. u can also pick up a brand new nitrous kit for 500 so i mean ... my exhaust and intake add almost no power so i could get a stock Z put in nitrous... and run it and be good to go. nitrous is cheating... rite... go bang around in your hyundai. shiet must feel mad fast.

 

nah we got better than nitrous. alky injection or race gas. i can run 25+ psi with that. figure each extra psi = ~10whp. of course i cant hold that to redline, my tq spike will be insane.

but yes turbo cars can run nitrous, it just needs to be tuned right. and a 100 shot on a turbo car will add a lot more power than a 100 shot na. thats why it needs to be done right.

 

it has nothing to do with turbo or not turbo i heard that a stock evo if sprayed is no good for the car. cause my friend with the evo wanted to spray but they told him if he sprays the engine is gonna blow after i think it was like a 50 shot or something. might be wrong info sooo pleaseee correct me if im wrong. i mean i know that other turbo cars can take nitrous fine, just thought the 4g just didnt like the juice.

 

A lot of people like to run alky injection on Evo's so they can turn up the boost on the turbo.
It is true that the stock internals can only handle, but so much nitrous and boost together.

 

its all in the tuning. usually on a turbo car you use the nitrous to spool a big turbo. so it woudl shut off ~4k rpms. but ppl do spray it, i just dont know a whole lot about it.

 

I have a buddy that picked and Evo 8 up last year, he is a decent driver but not as skilled as i am..We only did one race on the highway and i pulled on him in the Z!! not by much but i did pull, I only have an exhaust.

As my Z has been in storage he has been talking a lot of smack, even taking bets at his work on who will win in a race!!

Well I can guarantee i will win due to drivers skills. I have an accelerometer and I run 0-60 in 5.2 seconds consistently which i think is pretty good.. Well he used my accelerometer the other day and the best he could scrounge up was a 0-60 in 5.6 seconds, he even had a 1.8 60Ft!!!

My point is after my rant there is that the Evo may be faster on paper stock but the Z in my opinion is way more consistent in 1/4 mile runs than the Evo.

When I went to the track with an intake and exhaust i ran 13.7@104 there were around 10-15 stock or lighly modded Evos and STi's and there wasnt one that was getting into the 13 seconds!!!

Point being you have to know how to drive an EVo to really run the numbers in the Magazines, if you come up to a stock Evo on the street and its an average driver, the Z would win everyday...If you dont launch the Evo above 4-5grand everytime there is a lot of bog unlike the Z.

 

thats funny... it would also take a reflash on top of the TBE to out run a Z with full bolt-ons.. I have video to prove it from bigfishs and I. But that was from an roll.
From a dig the Z would get beat by about a car in the quater mile at around 105mph.

 

I had an 2003 evo8...now iam dirving a z... evo is a very fast car and its easy to tune just a couple of mods you will run 12's and a couple of thousand you might run 11's no dout you will be satisfied for evo.thats fastest car ive driven...i used to smoke and make fun of nissan Z before now iam driving a Z. i got tired of 4 wheel drive its not fun like rear wheel drive cars and i always wanna drift so i sold my evo for nissan Z...its all up to you if you want a fast car go with evo but if you want a fun car go get a Z. good luck
