The Z or the Lexus
Hello, I am in the process of buying a car by the end of the month. Problem is that I cant decide on which one to get. An o6 350z or a 01 Lexus GS 430. A base model Z is around $28,000 or so.(New) The Lexus GS 430 is around $25,000.(Used) Both are HOT cars I have always been a huge fan of both I just need a second opinion.
Thanks.
Thanks.

depending on the mileage of the Lexus....you might be inheriting someone else's maintainence issues. i'd stay away from ANY five year old car. The lexus is expensive to upkeep once the warranty runs out...been there done that....lol

Tell us more about your life situation and we would be able to give you a better idea. The IS250 suggestion is also good if you're looking for a sporty car with some luxury.

I thought about a used 430 before buying the z. Went with the Z because it seemed sportier to me and for some reason the Lexus seems like you should be 50 to drive it. I like Lexuses (Lexi?), they are quiet, reliable, and smooooth. But, they seem to lack soul to me.
As for the back seat, don't think you could even put a kid back there if it had legs.

Lexus = Depreciate slower, Unmatched quality. The interior comforts are unmatched on a Lexus and hold great resale value. The Mark Levinston stereo system in Lexus are best in the industry hands down. However as stated above, the GS drives like 4-door sedan (Cadilac).

I played with a New IS 350. I stayed with me through some of the curves on this one road I travel, but then came the straight away...I pushed it and he was a couple of car lengths back! It stuff-I gave him a thumbs up for playing! He smiled and waved. Mine is stock with a JWT Popcharger.
