He's right. My Z begs me to open her up. I'll take her to 6500rpm with powershifts and she just begs for more. She's a beast and wants everyone to know it. When a sudo-racer pull along side her she revs on her own. I am always reeling her back in and shruging my shoulders at the sudo-racer when she does this. She is like a bird. At the first sign of a race she goes to flight. Her sister the Pathfinder in the garage may be a little bigger but loves to torque up the hills in 4WD. There aren't too many motors out there that are so strong.

Don't worry the car is built to take it .... Rev it on the Redline!

For the moment being, when i'm out there and punch it it feels good..but for some reason later on i regret it..but yet do it again once im on the road
I'm so afriad that I don't go near past 5k RPM...4.5K seems harsh...if i keep doing this is this going to do some damage in the long run?

I always see these guys who own exotic cars driving down the street or on the freeway doing like WELL below the speed limit...i've tried this, and all i get is honking accompanied by dirty looks...

So what's your guys' take? haha i bet all've you feel GREAT when/during/and after you punch it huh? lol
I can't puch mine because I still only have 600 miles on the clock

<4000 rpm

Though I was bad once and nailed it going into 2nd and kicked out the rear a lil

i dont take it to redline everyday, but i routinely take it up around 5-6k rpms. its an engine, it has a warranty, and is made for performance. who cares? i paid to drive the car, if i wanted to just drive the speed limit i could have gotten a kia.

i'll tell you this much, after i first punched my Z, I didn't feel the reason I was 30k+ poorer. After a few mods it feels pretty good, esp. on the highways, plus I appreciate the handling.

True that one.

It's kinda pointless having such a car and not using it for what it's built for, right? That's why we own one, and that's why we're here
