Default New to Tuning....

What's up 350Z people,

I am new to the tuning world and want to start to get my feet wet with some simple upgrades (Intake/Exhaust). I would appreciate any feedback from owner's/user's of any of these products or other futher knowledge anybody has on better products that they prefer compaired to my list below. Any help would be great. From what I have read so far this is the place to get my questions answered correctly! Thanks in advance!

1. Ultimate Racing True Dual Exhaust w/ Hi-Flow Cats package
2. Gruppe M Carbon Fiber Intake w/ UTR Carbon Fiber Intake Long Ram
3. ARC Titanium Cooling Panel (For Future Upgrades)
4. Varis Carbon Fiber Intake Duct (Cosmetic)
5. K&N Drop-In Air Filter

what are your goals?
whats your budget?
are you planning turbo in the future?
are you into street, track, or drag racing?
do you care about driveability?

answer a few of these then we can answer better.

Better performance, a little more zip, budget is under turbo and supercharger levels of tuning for now but do intend to get there. Street mostly, and care about driveability.

plenum, UD pulley, pop charger, test pipes.

thats the cheapest most cost effective way to get more power. you should be ably to pick up about 15whp with that for under 1k

I've done the search and read all of the entries on this website everyday! The knowledge in here along with my own research has got the ball rolling but can always use more opinions from verteran tuners!

there is very little power to be gained from a catback exhaust and headers. test pipes alone nearly net you what can be had from the rest of the exhaust.

labor on a header job is pricey.

i think youll probably want a cat back at least for the sound from your original post.

intake, plenum, pulley, cats, headers can be done for under $3500. maybe throw in an exhaust, too if you can install your own stuff to save money.

you will probably see 20-25ish WHP from that. if you do decide to go turbo/sc you should get parts that will be compatible....so you arent buying new parts later if you change your mind.
