Default T-Tops

When I think of a Z . I think T-Tops.. To bad my 350 doesn't have them.. I know they are out of style but there are signature for the Z.. Thats my opinion!

Yeah, didn't NISSAN market the fact that the car was built as a convertible first to prove it's structural strength? Then they added even more structural rigidity to the car with the rear strut brace or mono box construction.

Please excuse my imagine modification. I only have Paint to work with.

However, here's what a Z might look like with Targa-top:

Here's my old 300ZXT with T-tops. I do miss them:

However, I am not sure if I would really like them on a 350Z.
Maybe, if they were body color with an option to have a moonroof like the Vette.

Yeah that would be nice. I would like to see someone do this and see what would happen after a year. Maybe it would be better if someone took a vert and added the top of a coupe to it with the targa as a seperate piece. That way you would know that it would hold together stucturally, over the years. Then again like I stated above the structure might already be there. Anyone know for sure?

Believe it or not you will also hurt the value of your Z. I used to be a buyer for Carmax and when we appraised a car with aftermkt sunroof the value would always be lower. NOt to mention we couldnt put it on our lots due to the car having a big HOLE cut in it after the factory. But like someone up there said, its ur car....not a great idea IMO.

wouldn't the Z be great if the roof was all one big piece of glass connected to the hatch window?

like it would have the sheet metal in your car color running along the side of the roof, but the middle part would be all tinted glass.

And then if the car had a turbo, you could call it a pressure cooker ...
