Default New to this board - buying a 350z in December...

Hey, what's up guys. I've been looking into buying a Z for quite some time now. I stopped myself from getting one back in late 02 because of a divorce I was going through and decided on getting another house first, etc, etc. Now I'm figuring out what my money will be like in a few months and getting all excited again. I'm happy I waited this long seeing the 06 redesign, and am pretty much sold already on the 06 MT GT Black/Orange Coupe. Wasn't going to mod it for at least 2 years. Bout the only thing I had in mind was doing some tint in the rear window and lil sides.

Anyways. Since a gang of peeps are in here with opinions ranging all over the place, what do you guys think of my car choice? And for you guys in California, whats the legal limit on tint these days? And oh yeah, I haven't had a chance to go down to a dealership yet and see this "Magnetic Black" yet, how much difference is it between the old school black?

Thanks for reading.

Welcome to the forum! And many congrats on the upcoming purchase! MB/Burnt Orange is an excellent choice. I've always thought that burnt orange looks better on black than Silverstone. Have you decided on a trim level yet?

From afar, MB does not look revolutionarily different than any flat black car, but it does look better...has somewhat of a "pop" to it. Up close of course, the metallic flake in the paint stands out well.

Hey, thanks for the welcome! Yeah, I want the Grand Touring. Prolly going to order it with XM from factory. The navigation would be dope too, but I'm pretty good with mapquest and directions so I prolly wouldn't even use it.

If it was me, I would go for the 2005. Cheaper(get a great deal), 200 pounds lighter. Just my 2 cents.

If you don't care about more weight and it being more expensive, and you just want to get the new looks, then go for the 2006.
