Why would that be, most people would feel that performance is the most important thing to them. The base model is the fastest. If I was going to buy a coupe it would be the base.

That is true IMHO. Base is the lightest. The 03 base only has driver and passenger airbags, no vanity mirrors, no VDC or TCS. Basically, anything that says luxury. My base car with the 18 lbs rims, aluminum calipers and no spare gives Evos a run for their money. Stock calipers are iron. Extremely heavy. Trust, I know. The thing that I really need is an LSD. Waiting for a good deal.

The Z handles great in the rain for a FR 300hp sports car. I'm not sure what you're talking about.

Hey Bake, hope you are in a good mood today. I don't feel like arguing. Actually since I put my Pilot Sport on the back it quite manageable. I run Dunlops 9000 in front. Before these tires, I was really scared of the car running wet. It tilted the butt after 55 on wet road. None of my Pathfinders did that or the Lexus. Remember that my car is fully mechanical. If I slip one little bit, you relying only on yourself. Not that I cannot do that, but I definately respect it.

I've never had any slip issues with my base and I've hit some of the nastiest rain storms in the world here.

Remember that tires in the US are much cheaper than in the Caribbean area. I run my tires till they are flat and ugly. In fact, I buy my tires used from the ones you guys in the US change as bad. It does seem unfair to judge the Z as a bad rain driver based on bad tires. I've just had some pretty good scares, thats all. It may be a good driver after all. Heavy, not too wide tires and good aerodynamics. OK, I'll buy that!

Oh my, just noticed you're from Hawaii. Tires in there must be expensive also due to the shipping. Oh well, everybody has different budgets. Those who are lucky nough to run on brand new Dunlops 9000 or PS2 just so you know, not everybody has that priviledge!
