VOIDED warentee on tranny replacement need advice
a few weeks back the tranny on the z went out for the 3rd time. we brought it in and after they looked at it they determined that it was my fault that the tranny went out they called it excessive wear. the tranny only had about mayb 10xxx miles on it and i have not driven it any different than the last 2 times it had to be replaced. also on the last tranny replacement i had them put in the nismo clutch.. now it took the mechanic an extra day to put the nismo clutch in because he had never put a nismo clutch in... so that said they also said the clutch was bad and they also would not cover this due to excessive wear. i thought that the nismo clutches were better and could handle more i have never "burned" the clutch grinded gears and i don't really do whole shots and burn my tires.
my question is how can they do this i didn't do anything wrong ended up having to pay about +/- $3500 -4000 on a new tranny and clutch
and now the new stock clutch they put back in it feels way to loose i only have to push it in about 3inches and i can shift so i can't really get a real smooth shift out of first due to the such small area i have until the clutch lets fully out.. after the clutch gets past about 3-4inches it seems to kinda drop to the floor is this normal also.
any advice would be greatly appreciated

If your clutch is worn out after 10k miles then your hammering your car... Keep in mind that the 350z transmission is not really built for street/track racing. I know over in the WRX forums there having similar problems with there transmissions because of all the racing kids are doing with there cars.
Even cars that are designed for racing usally end up replacing motors and transmissions every couple races, and there gear is built for racing. If you want to race your car you can't expect Nissan to keep replacing parts for you.
That said, you can always try calling Nissan directly and make a complaint and maybe they will authorize another replacement, but I doubt it.

Sounds like bull poop to me. I wonder how Nissan determines excessive wear versus manufacturing defect. I have three envelopes filled with time slips from the drag strip and 37,000 miles. My transmission and clutch are fine (knock on wood).
Follow the arbitration guidelines in your manual. All communications to Nissan should be in writing. If you must replace the transmission and clutch on your dime, ask for the old items. If possible, have an independent transmission technician inspect the parts for manufacturing defects.
Best of luck.

Three tranny replacements and you're obviously not driving the car very carefully. I'd suspect you race quite often and powershift pretty heavily, or else just can't drive a mt.
I'd agree with Nissan that the need to draw the line somewhere. You're only ruining it for those who drive their car with care and have genuine tranny issues.

Giving you the benefit of doubt, I would have to say the dealership that is handling your car might have crappy tech's that didn't intall your transmission/clutch properly.
I would ask around your area for a good Nissan dealership that deals in modified cars, they usally have the best tech's, pay them to replace your clutch/transmission and have them inspect the old stuff and ask them if it was installed properly or if it was driver abuse. If you can get them to say the other dealership did not install it properly you might be able to get Nissan to refund you.
I was speaking to a performance shop owner and he mentioned something about 3 drivetrain issues falling under the lemon law. Donw hold this as set in stone but when he had tried to replace an engine and 2 trannies in the same vehicle, they denied him on the last of the three and told him about the lemon rule. Just thought I'd throw it out there and let ya know. Deffinately take it to another shop and write nissan about the problem. They have to be able to PROVE that the damage was your fault to completely deny your warrenty coverage.
