Default Gas Milage

Why does my Z say im getting 6.5 mpg??? Even with the most intense driving 6.5 is waaay low. Am i missing something?

it says im getting 14 mpg and I dont even drive with a heavy foot.
May have something to do with my avg mph, 18

but 6.5 is wtf?

did u reset ur mpg thingy???


im doing about 25ish if i go on cruise control on the highway at about 70-75


btw.. that thing can be off alot too...... i get 420miles on a full tank of gas, sometimes 450 if im careful.... then i can also get 380ish if i feel the need for speed

I get 220 miles on a full tank of gas, no heavy foot either

I get between 200-250 depending on how I drive. Mostly city. There are a a few of threads on this subject if you want to try and find them.

There were som TSB referring to this I beleive and like I said search the forum for this topic you might find the answers you need there. I definitely remember a few guys with the same problem.

Check to see if your VIN falls into the Gas Tank TSB.

It may say that but are you actaully getting that? if not then it is possible that the car has been sitting at idle for too long.. idle = consuming fuel with 0 mpg.

those are pretty good numbers. i gotta use MPG-CAPS just to get close to it

for the last time use the search key" but sincy u didnt unplug your battery over nite for at leat 7 hours plus. then tell me your gas mileage

I live in NYC, i get an average of 18 mpg.

i get 25 city and 33 to 34 on the freeway just look at previous post that i have and it will explain how to get great gas mileage in a z w/o drivin like a grandma!!!

On the DTS last time I checked I got 300+ on a full tank.. and when I use the c control @65mph, I get 29-31mpg.

next time you fill you, reset your odometer to 0, and then when you have to fill up again the second time, see how many gallons you pumped into your car to fill up, and take the number on your odometer, and divide it by the amount of gas you've just filled up your car, and you get your "more than true" mpg...unless if your odometer is wrong, then you're F$#KED

I'm getting about 19.2-19.4 on mine...

I know that display is not accurate, since my speedometer would say one speed, and the digital reading says it's a couple mph less....
