Default Nismo Oil Cooler

*This is a repost from the Engine section but seeing as how I got only one (not sure) response to the thread I figured I'd get more responses and views here.*

This might be a stupid question, but does Nismo only make one type of application for their oil cooler or is there one for S-tune & R-tune? I've seen it sold for $650 on performance nissan's website & $1200 on other sites like intensemotorsports... they look the same to me

Cool thanks, so I guess better off just buying from Performance then. $650 is a good price for an oil cooler that fits instead of having to buy another brand and pay for labor & materials to custom fit it.

There are 2 oil coolers by nismo.

They came out with the $1200 first then a little while ago they came out with the $600.

I think the first just said Nismo, and then the second was advertised as the Nismo "sport" oil cooler.

No idea what the difference is. Maybe the new one is just the old one repackaged????

Just hard to swallow $600 for an oil cooler when you could do your own setup (yes, it would take a little bit to figure out what you needed) sooo much cheaper.

I would double check that it actually is a bolt on. Its very rare to find an oil cooler kit that is a true bolt on. Making your own kit will cost you half as much. Take a look in the autocross/roadrace forum and you can read my post of the oil cooler setup I did. I paid about $350 for all the parts.
