And safer when you drive hard...

Sorry about the Z, but I'm going to have to agree with the general concensus and say it sounds like the tranny went into 3rd.

You are right, a good rev match going into third at 60 is no problem, but since he thought he was going into fifth, he wouldn't have rev-matched for third.

even if I went into 3rd, which I know didnt happen, the car would dropped forward and down on its own to get to the right rpm and I would known I was in the wrong gear. Anyways @ 55-60mph even if I went to 3rd it shouldnt have started fishtailing, should have just reved up to maybe 4500rpm, which I was already @ 2200-2500. anyways insurance is saying that something mechanically went wrong but not sure if its the clucth. they think more something with the rear end...... When they said that, I also told them that it felt like the E-brake became fully engaged. anyone ever heard of that happening. Im not trying to put blame on anyone but me, but I just want to understand what and how this happened . to keep it from ever happening again

I don't envy your claims adjuster. This'll take a long time, and they'll likely place you at fault until they (or you) can prove otherwise.

I get so paranoid about changing my clutch/flywheel when I hear stuff like this. That's while I'll do this at my uncle's shop with him...at least if it screws up I'll know who to blame.
