I've had my Z for about 4 months now. Had another tenant in my apartment ask what we do for a living, because we all "drive nice cars". I've got my '03 Z, roommate has a '06 Q93 and another tenant has a Mercedes. Does that count? First time a stranger has said anything

I had no idea how to respond, I've always been awful with compliments in every regard in my life.

Went out for a cruise Sunday night with a friend and she posted a picture online of my car, to which a few of her friends called it sexy. But I've never really gotten one in person.

 

Fast food good for me. I went to Taco Bell for their Mountain Baja Freeze for $1 (Happy Hour 2-5pm CST). As I was waiting for my order, this guy comes at me and tells me that my car is running (I intentionally let it run because it is 100 degrees outside). I said, "Sir, thanks for letting me know," moments later he said, "You have a very nice car." I said, "TY SIR!!!!!!!!!" Almost 9 years, this car still amazes me.

 

Got another compliment today while I was at work today.

I was on break and it goes like so:

Co-worker (woman who happens to own a Mini Cooper S): Is that your white Nissan in the parking lot?
Me: The 350Z?
Co-worker: Yes!!! OMG I love those cars and yours looks brand new and I never see it dirty.
Me: Well thank you, I try to keep it as clean as possible.
Co-Worker: Well you shouldn't be working here you should own your own detailing business because your car is flawless.

Made me feel really good because I do put a lot of time into taking care of my car. Although here as of late my back issues are getting worse and it puts a damper on things. :/

 

"The more of this, the less I want to upgrade." <--- Reminds me of my own Z. My very first plan was to paint/wrap the car Lamborghini Orange, that's how I pictured my Z before I even got it. I purchased a Z which was painted in Dark Radiant Ebony and the compliments never stopped. It's held me back from repainting the car. But for sure I will get it to turn Orange soon. It's one of the little things that drive me crazy if I don't do it.

 

Was on my way to work when this modded Civic catches up and rides next to me. Gives a couple of honks, and when I looked over he was giving me double thumbs up. It was unexpected from a Civic driver so I thought it was awesome.

Later on that evening I reach home and the Z dies. 3 weeks until now, we still can't revive it lol.

 

Pulled up to the gas station yesterday behind a brand new Mercedes SL63 AMG, license plate read "HART MD", I just washed and waxed my car and started to pump my gas, the doctor driving the AMG turns around and stares for about two minutes and than asks,

"What kind of car is that?"
"Its a 350z"
"Man i havent seen a Z look that good, its really nice, i thought it was a porsche or something european."
"Haha thank you I wish it was something european like yours."
"Work hard and you will get there, you already have a Z, keep up the good work."

He took off and gave me a thumbs up. made my day.

Na he was cool, and nothing wrong with european cars, I have always wanted a porsche 911 turbo, more recently a Cayman, but that dream makes me an elitist?

 

Seen a couple guys driving by in a camaro as I was pulling out of my drive, the passenger hung his head out and I seen him mouth the words "oh my god" while he stared back for an entire block.

 

Ive had several people asking me if I bought mine new from the dealer. When I tell them its a 2003 they have a surprised look on their face haha.

 

Last week the Subway expert sandwich maker girl gave me free bacon because she liked my car, ya cant beat that.

























Although she thought it was a Porsche.

I only get thumbs up(s) and alot of compliments from friends.

I see people staring at my car while I fill up but once they see me...usually dressed bum like, for work...they tend to turn away

 

Just yesterday I was washing my Z when this hot milf from my neighborhood past by stared at my Z then said i love your car so i offered her a ride but she said not today but maybe another day lol im waiting on that day to come along lol

 

Girl said she wanted to give me head because of my sick te37 offset and recaros, but I said "I'm taken" true story! Not the te37 part...

 

Ever since I modded my 350z with a clean body kit, and matte vinyl wrap dark gray, and nismo 5 spokes v3's, I went to get my safety check here in Hawaii. it just so happens the news crew came to the gas station to do a story on the new safety check regulations in hawaii and the pass fail rates increasing because of it, They saw my car and included it within the news. I saw my car on khon news one night and also on their website. = )

Haven't driven my car for awhile now but last summer when I first got it, got plenty of compliments from co-workers and most were shocked that it was an 04.

Started a new job and I always parked in the far corner of the lot and coworkers on my team say I keep that thing clean. One lady asked me what year it was and when I told her it was a 2004, she said I keep it clean enough that people think it's a 2012.

Getting anxious to get it back out this spring!
