Question.....

Looking at getting a new Z and went and test drove one yesterday. I forgot to look in the back. Is there room for golf clubs or is that out of the question?

Also, its been a while since I drove a manual transmission, but it seemed like first was very jerky and I couldn't stay in it but a second before needing to shift into second. Is that normal? My past expereince with driving manual transmissions have been chevy v-8 trucks.

I'm responding JUST BECAUSE you named a thread "350z" in a all-350z forum. Genious! Lol.
Yeah, in fact, if u open the hatch and look up, u'll see a sticker instructing u on how to fit 2 golf bags in the Z. Enjoy.

I'm sorry... It's late and I'm tired... I agree, should have come up with a better thread title.

First gear is a 3.794:1 gear ratio. How quickly you reach redline, and when you shift is up to you.

One carry bag goes into the Coupe without too much drama. The second one is easy if you are tall and strong, 'cause it has to go over the shock tower brace - A pain for my 5'9" self. Forget your Staff bag unless you want it to ride shotgun with you.
I've driven two-seaters for years, so I'm used to travelling light and making allowances, but if you're coming from something with a real trunk, it's going to require some adjustments.

I can get two average sized bags in mine, not the huge touring bags. I have to remove my drivers though and put them in separately. I always carry my shoe bag, because I have leather seats.

As far as jerkyness, it subsides with practice. and yes, it's nothing like a truck.

I didn't have to take my driver or three woods out, just lay the top of the bag in first so the drivers go under the lip of the trunk.

As for shifting, you just have to get used to the low sweet spot for the clutch and the short throw of the shifter. Give it a month and you'll be a pro.

The car is not jerky. You are driving jerky.

Hop in with any experienced driver and I'll show you smooth sailing (and shifting at redline).
