I personally ran a stock S2K when I had just an intake, 1st gear roll off an entrance ramp onto the highway at about 2AM. It was friend of mine, that I just had to shut up, I walked all over him again and again and again, but he complained that he had his girlfriend in the car.

 

i always wanted to run with an S2000. There's a couple in town im just not sure if they even care to race.

yeah apparently thats a big excuse with FWD guys.. "i had someone in the car. if they weren't in the car, i would have beat you." haha oh well. i jus thought it was funny that they were talking about smokin 350z's.

I lost all respect for that site when I saw a MODERATOR with the below signature:

"I don't care if the 350Z is as fast as my car and only costs $26,000...

From behind, it still looks like a dog trying to take a crap and run at the same time."

I mean, it's immature enough to say something like that, let alone have it as your SIGNATURE. And the worst part? This guy is a MODERATOR that's supposed to be setting an example to the other members. Way to go S2KI. It only further solidifies the myth that Honda owners will always be Honda owners, no matter what Honda they drive.

Oh, and I'll let you guys be the judge on how true his signature is.

 

s2k is rwd though

 

I've never ran with a s2k. How would they compare, stock vs. stock with a z? off the line, from a roll etc.

 

Cannysage, I've raced a handful of s2000's. The first race I instigated, the rest instigated the races with me. All of the races were from rolls. I'm bone stock so it doesn't really matter if they were modded or not, because they all lost.

All I can tell you with 100% certainty is that the faster the race goes the harder the Z pulls. Off the line and up to 60 I imagine it would be pretty close.

 

I am driving the Z and have also owned a S2K before, the biggest difference between the Z and S2K is their stability, S2K seems to be more unstable at fast corners and it feels like you are gonna lose it anytime at the limit, but because of that, you are always driving your car to the limit while keeping it oversteer through tight corners. Its more of a drivers car than the Z. The Z, however, is very stable at high speed, but at tight corner, it tends to understeer a lot more, mainly due to the extra few hundred pounds of weight.

 

SC 350z's run 13.3's??? lol

 

unfortunatley its true alot of people can't really drive that well.. so i can imagine seeing a 13.3 SC'd Z. There are also people who can drive well, and get 11's w. turbo...
s2k guys are always so angry! i was going to the gym one time and this guy who was behind me (who also delivers pizza in the s2k) gunned it and went around me on a 2 lane road. i gladly let him go since it was too dangerous to mess around.

 

Perhaps he was trying to make the promise of, "Delivered in under 30 minutes or your pizza's Free." Got to be a little understanding

 

That one page from the s2k forums explained just how air-headed some of those people are....glad i don't like honda's..

 

WTF? A dog? How the hell do you get a "dog trying to take a crap" from the rear of of the Z?? I don't get it....

 

That quote is a rip off from Jeremy Clarkson on "Top Gear" when he did a review on the 350z. For the record, Mr. Clarkson does not like the Z... but the rest of the cast does.

What I found funny about the s2k thread was the top up or down comments. Seems to be a big point of contention.
