Cool M Brace

Hey guys i installed the exauhst on my Z and the M brace would touch the exahust. So i never put it on . is it a must to have that? wat is the purpose of the m brace?

I don't know that its a must, but you should still be able to fit it on there. just use some c-clips or washers to create some space.

There was a thread about removing this M brace awhile back. It is a very important part of the stiffening measures of the chassis. I would not remove it. Mine rubbed my GReddy EVO-II first. I put a piece of radiator hose between the pipe and the brace and it's been fine since. I would not leave it off if I were you.

thats one handling element that differs from the G, learn to love it there and find a way to make it work with the exhaust

It's a brace so leaving it off probably wouldn't be a very good idea.

Agree. There are undercarraige parts that you can live without. The catalytic converter support is one. It is designed to support the cats only, not insure frame rigidity. The M-brace is a valuable structural component. Put it back.
