Default Pollen on paint

I dont know about where you all live, but here in TN this time of year the pollen is HORRIBLE. A couple hours after I wash my Z it is yellow (redline paint). I took it in my garage last night and wiped it down with a cloth to make it look better, but I'm not going to do that everyday. Do any of you have one of those fancy brushes that you use to wipe it down everyday to keep dust and stuff like that off? I saw one on TV one time and never htought about it until I had a nice car now. Would wax help?

This is pollen time, and it is not unusual to find cars covered with a layer of yellow dust. My recommendation is to leave it alone. I do not like brushes because no matter how soft the brush, you are still wiping the paint with something that is abrasive.

Sorry if this is not the answer that you want.

Down here in SC it is really bad. What I do is give the car a good wash. Then everyday when I get home from work I would give it a good hose down. Then the next weekend give it another wash. This helped keep my car alot cleaner looking then most of my friends and coworkers. Luckily the pollen season is past it's peak, most of the trees have stopped so it is no longer as bad.

The california car duster works as advertised.

No scratches. Removes all the dust instantly.

Buy one, you won't be dissapointed.

+1 Bump that

The car duster is great as long as the car has not gotten wet since the dust coating. The nice thing about pollen is it doesnt have the same abrasiveness that dirt from your friendly neighborhood construction zone has.

california duster is a must have. just takes a minute to run over the whole car. washing everytime would be a waste. if you have a good wash and wax already on it, just use the california duster. will be one of the best investments u make.

It's been raining here off/on so much and with the pollen and all. I've got a good wax base so doing a quick wash & hand dry seems to work well. Wax seems to be wearing off a little faster though. Not to mention I just haven't had time lately

There are two different kinds of California dusters. The "cheaper" ones that Walmart sells (with the shorter handles and smaller brush) and the $20 ones with the bigger brush and longer handle that you can buy from properautocare.com. Definitely go with the latter, you won't be disappointed.

I'm here in knoxville too and the pollen sucks. It doesnt look as bad looking at the car from a distance but looking from your front seat you can see the sheet of pollen on the hood, it's awful!!!

I also live in Knoxville, and my car is white. At this point it takes about 4 days to ruin a wash completely. I need to get my project car done and out of the gage so I can keep the Z clean.
