Default Clicking noise after a long drive

I have a 03 Touring 6spd. I've been noticing that the car makes some hard clicking noise after a long drive(over 30 mins). Basically I park my car after a long drive and walk out of the car and you can hear that clicking noise clearly. It almost sounds like something is leaking and drops are hitting the floor. But then I checked there is no fluid on the floor. Anyone experienced this?

It is probably your exhaust/cats expanding and contracting from the heat and heat dissipation...

My car does the same.

Most cars do this...

My girlfriends cavaliers cats/cat shields expand and contract after driving for a period.

It's normal people.

the car is trying to tell you that she is healthy and alive by making the clicking sound...like a healthy cat.

My '06 Touring sounds like a bowl of rice krispies when it's resting after a good drive.

Mmmmm... Sugar coated thermal contraction!

Its normal, just what thin metal does when heated then cooled fairly quickly.

As for long drive... 30 mins is nothing. I spend about an hour in traffic going 16 miles

I hope to shave that time down with a 350z

Experience One Perfect Moment.

A 7000 rpm shift. Unerring steering precision as you hit that apex. The thrust of 300 horsepower as you come rocketing out. Lowering the windows as you drive through a tunnel – just to hear that rich baritone grow to a piercing cry. The soft ticking as the engine cools after you shut it down. Seeing a hint of the very first Z as the light follows a contour line across the body. The Nissan 350Z. Live in the moment.
