Nissan Service Dept. $UCKS!
Is there anything that can be done?
I had my car dropped off at Nissan last Monday the 17th. Miles where documented. They told me it would take a few days to get in the parts. Well after waiting a full week and weekend I finally pickup the car today. When I get home I check the miles, they put on over 360 miles on my car!!
They even wrote it on my service order, miles in and miles out so I can easily prove it.
What can I do, they put more miles on the damn car then I did. I have only owned if for just over a month.
what year is your car and did you ask them why they put so many miles? What were you trying to get done for your car? Its important if you gonna post a topic like this, you sorta fill in the details so we can better understand whats going on.
I agree. Something needs to be done to answer where the miles came from, why the car was driven so much, and who's responsible.
Contact the manager of the dealership and calmly ask what the deal is.

I had it brought in because I was nearing my 3 years on my warranty its an 2003. But I only have 11k miles on it. It was just supose to be there for parts, nothing major.
When I questioned the service manager he told me he was not sure how it could have happen, he said no one drove it. I was like well its pretty obvious someone DID.
Nothing is resulting from it, what can I do?? I mean I have documentation and they know there is a 300+ mile difference but what the heck can you sue or go after them for its just really a moral issue I guess. Its burning me though.

Have the Dealership comp you something they can easily provide. How about an extended warrantee below their cost and a free detailing? Also they need to fire the Service Manager that abused your car. If they don't make good on these report them to the BBB.
I was thinking about the BBB. Sam whats the deal with the blacklight LOL. I dont even want to go that route, If I found any of that **** in my car then the dealership would not be standing anylonger I would probably go army on their a$$.
But I will contact the BBB and the owner today. I really dont think they are going to do anything but we will see. Its really B/S

not to mention how unethical it is. Hope things work out to your favor.
This reminds me of an experience I had about 8 years ago. I left my car with a dealer to have some repairs done and new suspension installed. It was supposed to take 2 days.
That same night, I get a call at 1am and its the owner of the shop explaining that my car has been stolen............outside of a nightclub. The car showed up 3 days later stripped.
The guy decided to finish the job early and use my car
After the insurance fixed my car up, we agreed to him eating about $1000 worth of work.

A guy I know who works in the detailing area of a dealership told me that the gofer boys, managers, mechanics, as well as the detail guys routinely take cars out and race them around town, take them home for the night, and run errands with them.
He also told me others would use my car (previously owned a 2k Toyota Celica) to run around town and street race with it; found this out after the fact. When I got it back I found the transmission hosed, I returned steaming pissed! What was weird is they looked at it and replaced the tranny with a new one with almost no hassles at all. I knew something was up but wasn’t sure at that time.
Not sure what you can do about it though... BBB I guess...

I can tell you right now the BBB wont do squat, ive tried them before on other complaints, nothing. Also take a look at this http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff1343.htm
The owner of the dealership or Nissan North America, would probably be your best bet.
Good luck
