I got my Z in March and used regular 87 for the first three tanks, and got a lot of heat from people on here for doing so. The car seemed to run pretty well, and the gas mileage was very good (19.4, 19.8, 20.5 for those three tanks, and that's 100% city driving).
The other day, however, I filled it with 92, just to see if I would notice a difference. So far, the car feels exactly the same, and so far the gauges are reading about the same mileage. Granted, I've gone less than 30 miles on the tank so far, but I'm not expecting to see any noticeable difference.
I'll run through the entire tank of premium, and if the mileage isn't any better than what I was getting (and I don't see how it could be, because I was already getting the advertised mileage) it's back to 87 for me.

Is that going through the full 20 gallons? If so, that's pretty pathetic.
When I filled up the other day, I put 15.04 gallons in, and had gone 308 miles on the trip...on REGULAR 87. That's 20.5MPG of pure city stop & go driving

This is rediculous, I spend 15 bucks a week on gas at the most! And Im in San Diego, all city driving. 1/4 tank lasts me a week + and my habits arent that thrifty sometimes. Cant wait to get to VA for some of that 93 though!

... i put 86 on my car since 3 years ago, no problem .. lol .. was kidding .. premium all the time .. only 3,4 bucks different... just like you go to the restaurant and put a good tip for good service, why not tip your car for better performance.
I dont know why cfdemarco claimed that he didnt feel different between 87/93 octan gas, and his mileage hasnt improved ... but i can feel that car accelerates faster with 93 ... and even 93 gas at Race Trac gives lower mileage compare with 93 gas at Cheveron. Anyway .. just my 2 cent.
Should we need a poll for this thread ?
