Mostly city driving - a little over 400 per tank.. haven't had a fill up over 18gallons yet.. that orange light freaks me out even though I know I've got at least 40 miles to 'actual empty'.

I average about 300 miles per tank with mixed city/highway driving (mostly city). Fill ups are typically 15.5 gallons.

Average MPG: 22

I usually cruise around in 35mph zone or higher in 5th gear.

Default Caution About Electric Fuel Pump

Well first off I have no idea how the fuel system is set up in the 350, we just got ours. I do know that an electric fuel pump located in the tank depends on gasoline for lubrication and cooling. Driving with little fuel in the tank on hot days has been shown to greatly reduce the lifetime of the fuel pump. $$$$$ Just a word of caution.

I've hit almost 500 miles on a full tank, but that was really pushing it. I filled up the tank and it took almost 19 gallons... lol.

Keys are:

1) Highway
2) Cruise Control
3) Keep it at 70mph or less

man...how the hell do you break 20mpg??? I've tried driving slow or ummm..."moderately" and I'm still averaging about 19.1mpg...i guess the heat does take a toll on the mpgs down here in TX...my tires are properly inflated, my intake filter clean.....i usually get 340 miles and I fill up around 18 gallons...and of course, I try cruising on the freeway...haha...but I guess you're suppose to cruise 55mph to achieve the best gas mileage...egh, I can't be seen in a sports car cruising less than 80mph (which is were I usually set my cruise)

How are Vehicles Tested?
Vehicles are driven over identical driving patterns by professional drivers in controlled laboratory conditions on a dynamometer, which is like a treadmill for cars. The conditions that occur during driving, such as wind drag and inertia are accounted for on the dynamometer. There are two types of tests that are conducted: city and highway tests.
The city test is approximately 11 miles long and simulates a stop and go trip with an average speed of about 20 miles per hour (mph). The trip lasts 31 minutes and has 23 stops. About 18 percent of the time is spent idling (as in waiting for traffic lights). A short freeway driving segment is included in the test. The engine is initially started after being parked overnight.
The highway test simulates a 10 mile trip with an average speed of 48 mph. The vehicle is started "hot" and there is very little idling and no stops.

How Are the Label Estimates Calculated?
Fuel economy estimates are calculated from the emissions generated during the tests using a carbon balance equation. We know how much carbon is in the fuel, so by precisely measuring the carbon compounds expelled in the exhaust we can calculate the fuel economy.
After the vehicles have been tested, the results are adjusted downward to account for conditions that occur on the road that can affect fuel economy which don't occur during laboratory testing, such as cold temperature, aggressive driving, excessive use of power-hungry accessories, among others. The city is adjusted downward by 10 percent, and the highway by 22 percent.
The equation for calculating the city or highway average fuel economy, given in miles per gallon (mpg), is:
FEave = (total sales / [(sales1/FE1)+ (sales2/FE2) + ...+ (salesn/FEn)]
The calculation for combined fuel economy weights the city at 55 percent and the highway at 45 percent using the following equation:
FEcomb = 1 / (( .55 / city FE) + (.45 / hwy FE))

Coming back from the dragon I got 475 miles and still had 3 gallons of gas in the tank... The low fuel light never came on. AVG speed was 73mph.

I just drove ~ 60 or so miles freeway, with some stop & go, with an average of 51mph @ 32.2MPG. Does that sound good? I'm impressed with 30+mpg with this car on the freeway. I was doing 65mph cruise control at the times that I could

after about 370 miles, my empty tank light starts to blink on.. i push it past 400 though pretty often but when i can i refil as soon as it lights up solid.. around 380..

i drive about 60% city.. and on the highways, i like bursting into full throttle mode frequently..
