I get ~350 miles if I floor it all the time.

I get ~400 miles if I shift aroudn 3-4k rpm.

My best ever was 425 miles where the digital readout read 0 miles

Daily driving while spending 45 minutes a day in stop and go traffic. Best I've ever achieved was 425.

I'm about the same as you. Approximately 380 (+ or - 10 miles) city (399.4 miles at my last fill up) and well over 400 highway. I think my best was somewhere close to 450 miles in mostly highway driving when I took a trip from Tampa to Miami and back.

man...I have been trying to figure out what the hell is happening with the fuel sensor and what the true DTE is. I used to get 325 miles and the fuel light goes on but I only filled up an avg of 13 gallons. I drove it to 400 miles and the fuel gauge literally climbed from touching the right corner of the E ALL the way to a quarter tank. The DTE went from 35 DTE to 85 DTE where it finally stablized. after filling up 10 miles after the "---" i was getting anxious so i went to the gas station but STILL only filled up 15.5 gallons. I think I reset the fuel sensor unit by going lower than my average fill up distance. I average 27-30 mpg in mixed driving (spirited) and after reading these posts I am fairly confident I can get 425-450 total miles with 2 gallons still left in the tank and not putting stress on the fuel pump.

Well the tank holds 4 more gallons AFTER it says E. So just because it says DTE 0, doesn't mean you really have NO gas left. I am taking this from what other people have said, but I have not tested this extra 4 gallon theory (that the guage only reads 16 of 20 gallons). Has anyone?

Looks like most of you bought the Z to drive like grandma

30mpg highway = never passing anyone, cruising at speed limit

25-26mpg highway = having a little fun

I get 17.0 mpg consistently with mixed driving I'm an A/C ***** by the way...

502 miles on a tank ... All highway, cruise on 74mph, Shrevport to Pensacola. 17.2 gallons on fill up = 29.18 mpg.

I'm with you, brutha. I drive aggressively. I get about the same on my 06'. Can't imagine driving any other way. What was the point of the car if you can't experience it.

One dude said highway average at 51 MPH. That floored me. On the highway, I ave at least 80-90 Mph.

When does it ever show zero on the indicator? Mine just has the blinking dashes (----) which I was getting yesterday. I thought I was at the limit but I filled up the tank and it hit 14.5 gallons.

280 miles stop and go traffic and the other half freeway with traffic half the time. Mostly defensive aggresive driving.

Usually get around 400 (+/- 30) miles on a full tank in mixed freeway/city driving. That translates to something around 23 mpg.

If you are worried about it, buy a TDI....Otherwise, just have fun.
