Airbag light disable?
Ok, I bought my car about a year and a half ago. About 3 months after buying it a guy at work backed into it while it was parked. My airbag light came on and it was supposedly fixed. I was told that there was a sensor in the seat belt female connection which could break and then would set off the light. Has anyone heard of this? And if so, do you think my airbags still work, but just this one connection is setting off the light? Is there a way to shut off the light (fuse, etc)? Sorry if this is a stupid question but it's driving me crazy.

You should call the shop that did the repair and tell them about the air bag light comming on and see if they are willing to correct it. I would think they warranty their work at least... Right now your air bags most likely wouldn't deploy since there is a malfunction.

Yeah, it's been flashing for a long time but I haven't had time to take it in to the shop because it's really far away from where I live now. Hopefully I"m still within the time allotted for corrections.

my airbag light was on in a chevy i had a while back, my mother was driving it actually, we figured it was nothing, and all of a sudden, boom.....airbag explosion for no reason, scarier then a car crash, be careful man, get that checked out.
