I'm gonna be flying to Japan later today (well, Okinawa actually) and while Im there I plan on trying to swing by this giant aftermarket werehouse called Autobox to see what I can find.

cheap... I envy you. I spent 6 years on Okinawa ('89-'95). I'd really like to get back to visit. I've been back to mainland Japan a couple times since then, but not Okinawa... BTW, Japan is car accessory heaven. Get out on route 58 late on Friday & Saturday nights & look for the hot rodders. That road used to turn into a speedway/dragstrip at night (among many other locations). I remember it being like "The Fast & the Furious" (crowds lined the street watching the drag races). Sorry for the long reply, but your post brought back memories of racing my little turbo-charged 4 banger till the wee hours of the morning.....

I remember that all too well. I got caught once when the police showed up. I got off with a stearn warning (in a mix of broken English and Japanese).

 

You want catalogs even if they're in Japanese? Also I wont get a chance to check out 58, because I won't have a car there... we might get a U-drive, but that's it. Other than that it's taxis or crew busses.

And thanks for the heads up on weather - I don't make the decisions if we go or not, but it'll be nice to plan for.
