Usually these threads are started by people who are living BEYOND their means. Sure they can afford the car, but they have to think about if they really want to drive down the street cause they won't have money for gas tomorrow. Just cause you can afford something doesn't really mean you can afford it if you know what I mean.
I say go drive both cars and buy the one you like most. *** what everyone else thinks. They will mostly likely tell you to get what they have.
Oh and exoctic? Please! A fuking Ferrari is exoctic not a fuking Nissan or Infiniti.

I decided to go with the 350Z instead of the G35 based on looks and performance. Even though it's just a Nissan the Z has an "exotic" look to it. The G35 styling is more of a common look - it looks good but it's more conservative and appeals to the masses. My previous car was a fully loaded V8 Lincoln LS. I'm 26 and I was bored driving around in a luxury sedan so I was in the market for a sports car. All the luxury items the G35 has that my Z doesn't I had 'em in my Lincoln and never used them so I'm not missing them in my Z. I'm single and I can count on 1 hand how many times I've needed a backseat. So lets see ::get the Z and get a pure sports car for my $ or get the G35 and pay more for a sporty car with a lot of luxury things I don't need?:: So the styling and the raw performance factors led me into a Nissan dealership instead of a Infinity dealership. So far I've been happy with my choice...the Z is my only car and it's doing a great job. I can honestly say I have yet to look at a G35 and say "I wish I got that instead."
I've also seen way more G35's on the road than Z's so I'm happy about that. I'll also note that many of the G35's drivers I've been seeing are young...they look under 25.

He put an aftermarket hood on that allows more air to go into the engine bay to allow more cooling to the engine to gain better performance. How is that "rice"? If you are going to use that word, at least understand what it means first.
You can say it is an ugly hood in your opinion, but it isn't rice since it adds to performance.

im debating weather or not i want a G35 or 350. I was hoping the young owners would tell me their opinion. I only say this due to a unanimous opinion on another forum that G35=older 350=younger. But actually I would like to here everyones opinions. so heres the question...now that you have the 350z, would hav gone back and got the G35 for the luxury and sacrifice some sportiness?

I couldnt either...so I bought both:
Oh and you say the G35 having the "luxury". Dude...you can get a 350Z that is "luxury" also. My Z has all the same options as my G (Nav, HID's, Heated seats, etc..) but my Z even goes further by being equipped with the Brembo brake package. I dunno....I like them both. Alot of people say "Why did you by two exact same cars"? Those two cars couldnt be any more different IMO.
And if I get tired of either one....I hop in my E46 330ci:
Note: I no longer have my 2002 WS6 Trans Am. Sold it a few months ago. Moved out of a house and into a condo. Couldnt keep all the cars
