350 Vs. G35
Im not sure if this question or poll has been addressed but I couldnt find it on the search option...
im debating weather or not i want a G35 or 350. I was hoping the young owners would tell me their opinion. I only say this due to a unanimous opinion on another forum that G35=older 350=younger. But actually I would like to here everyones opinions. so heres the question...now that you have the 350z, would hav gone back and got the G35 for the luxury and sacrifice some sportiness?

I think the 350Z is luxury enough for me. But then again, I'm young. Young people dont need as much luxury as the older people.
My suggestion is to go the nissan and infiniti dealership. Go check out both of them. Then make up your mind which you think is the best. More luxury? or more sporty? I say G35 is still pretty sporty.
But then there are other factors... price, looks, taste, etc

I love not having a back seat, man I used to hate giving people rides n shiet. Plus the curves of the Z are just awsome.
More sporty feel to me, don't realy want the luxury yet.

Dude you can’t go wrong either way. The g 35 is no car that you settle for or take as a compromise it is simply a badd *** car just like the z. there both awesome mechine. There is not a z owner in this forum that didn't consider the g35 or nor is it second in any way to the z. they are separate but different equals. Besides for a few minor changes here and there it’s practically the same car. So close your eyes and pick one. Or set a budget, test drive both decide which one is more cars for your taste. Finally use you brain and decide which one amuses you senses.

They are both great cars, although very different, How old is old? as you can see by the responses, there are some younger ones here with old attitudes and some older ones with young attitudes...with that said, I personally had a similar decision, I preside a telecomunications company, and I am 37 yrs old. My concern was "what would clients think?" I look at Boxster, Bimmers, Lexus, and Benz, and in the end bought the Z. It is confortable for a sport car, reliable and a lot of fun. The G35 for me did not work, here in Puerto Rico they are like rabbits, they are all over the place and wanting to have a different car went with the Z. At first it was the corporate image I was worried about, now? could care less, my clients all love the car, and if we are going on a business lunch, they ask me to pick them up , I even put 20's on it, DVD and Body kit, and you should see the clients on their sedans (although very nice) drooling over the Z. It really all depends on you, remember YOU will make the payments, so YOU need to enjoy whatever you drive, dont let anybody sway you.
Have a great time buying, thats half the battle!

I'm 28 and I wanted the G35 because of the styling and the LED back lights. I decided to get a 2006 Z because of the LEDs and because I like the Interior of the Z better than the G35. I got into a G and it felt un-unique. Plus I got a Roadster. They don't make G35 Roadsters.

I was riding in my buddy's 04'/05' G35 out to a car meet and met up with some guy in an 03' Z who wanted to line up. We lined up from a 30 and 45 roll, and a dig. The Z had 3-4 car lengths on us every time. The G had typhoon intake and HKS exhaust with Megan TP's, the Z had a 5/16 spacer and i believe a pop charger.
So as far as what you want to do racing/going fast i would pick the Z, more bang for the buck. The G is a nice ride and all, but the Z is more practical in most senses. It just comes down to if you want a back seat or not and if you want to lay down an extra 150-200 dollars a month for the little infiniti symbol that you will probably swap out for a nissan anyways, and a backseat.

Everyone has given good points so I won't repeat them again. I will mention that in my city, I see G35 coupes all the time, they seem to outnumber the Z by twice or three times as much. In my work, there is only one Z(mine) and there are 3 G35coupes. So another factor to think about if you want to be more unique.
With respect to the G35coupe owners, there are more talk at my work about the 350Z than there are about the G35coupe. They just find the 350Z more "exotic" and a car that they would get if their wife would allow them to be selfish. They just don't think like that about the G35coupe, I guess it's because the G35coupe is more "pratical" then it is "exotic" looking.
