Do we have any new info on this? Mine are getting worse it seems.

That does talk about the black stains/spots, but I have not used any wheel cleaner on my wheels at all. I do not even spray the green tire cleaner on them at the coin wash. Just soapy water. I think I will take my by the dealer and let them look at it. Who knows. Might get lucky.

I have spoken to several z owners in New Orleans and all of them have this problem including me. It seems that the silver mist paint on the 06 wheels is very thin and in random spots on all the wheels it appears that a black undercoat is wearing through the silver. Took the car to the dealer and they scratched their collective heads and said no one has told them about this. I think they know because even the o mile units on the lot have this defect present. I am going to swap for chrome 06 wheels soom so f$%* it. Its not from washing as I use a very soft micro fiber cloth. Hope this helps...
