Z vs Z (350Z vs Z4)

You should've raced your friend's Z4 2.5 for money ;-) A 350Z is always going to smoke a 2.5 badly.
Here are a few facts about the Z4:
'03~05 Z4 3.0 has 225 HP. '06 Z4 3.0 has 215 HP. So the pre-facelifted 3.0 is actually quicker and has more HP/torque than the new 3.0. The old 3.0 is capable of doing 14 flat in a quarter mile so although it's probably slightly slower than the 350Z, I wouldn't call it a slug either.
The new 3.0si has 255HP and has gained about 100lbs. 1/4 mile time is around 13.7~13.8. Again, it's around the same as the 350Z, perhaps even with a tiny bit of advantage.
The MZ4's 1/4 mile time is around 13.1~13.2 so it's about 0.2 seconds quicker than the M3.
