Default First free oil change

Can I take it to any nissan dealership? Do they put synthetic or regular oil in it?

The offer is most likely an agreement between you and a specific dealer. What kind of oil? I haven't the faintest.

They will put the conventional oil in it, the same kind listed in the manual. This will not be synthetic.

is it true you shouldn't put synthetic in until after 3000 or so?

Highly debated. You can find tons of arguments for each side. FWIW, I changed to Mobile1 5w-30 at 1500 miles.

that is what i was planning on doing, going with Mobil1. I don't know much about oil's but I live in Florida and it is at least like 93 here every day until October. What is the differences in the #'s on the oils and what is best for hot weather.

Dealer changed oil yesterday with synthetic blend . Whatever that means. I provided a k&n oil filter...has to be better than stock. Next go round I will go full synthetic forever.

the dealership that i got my Z (performance nissan, duarte CA), didnt offer any first free oil changes. they do offer sythetic blend motor oil for $19.99. i would recommend you do ur own changes tho...and that u use royal purple.

since this is a topic about oil change, does anyone know if the dipstick on the Z goes straight down to the oil pan. I ask because on Mercedes and BMW is like that and changing oil is such a breeze using a fluid extractor.
