Thumbs down Still no liscence plate

I bought my brand new Z on the 10th and still don't have it. My temp tag expires soon. How long is the usual wait?

Dealer can re-issue another one to you, just go down there the day b4 yours expires. I got 3 waiting for plates because they were idiots!

The waiting makes the first drive even better

edit : thought you were waiting for the license plate to pick up the car

Waiting makes the first drive better??

I bought the car 65 miles away each way, hell with driving down there?! Is it true Nissan mails you a check for the remaining balance after they charge you plate fees?

Wink Opps!

Haha, I bought my Z in the middle of December, and I still have my plates hidding in my glove box! I hate the look of plates, esspecially the front. When I recieve and paint my V2 bumper I'm gonna be paying a ton of front plate "fix-its"!! Rebel! Besides, knock on wood, but cops just ignore or wave to my Z...WAY lower key than my orange 510 scaping the ground!

Bought mine on the 19th of Feb 2006 and I was told last week by dealer, I will get my replacement set sent to me on the 15th of this month.

DMV said the dealer has up to 90 days to file their paperwork here in CA.

My plates were lost apparently.

that only applies if you trade in a car, and they'll pro-rate the rest of your current registration...

Contact the dealer asap. The dealer mails you a check if you paid too much for the reg.

Why not go to the DMV to do your tax/title and they had you your plates off of the shelf?

Florida sucks at new tags. when i got my Z, it took 2 months. i had to go to the tag office and get and extension on my temp tag.

my girl just got a scion TC on may 4th. the temp tag already expired... she had to go get an extension as well.

its normal man, just get the temp tag renewed.

I'v never 'had' to do it at the dealer though. I read alot of people fighting with dealers to get their tags. Take 10 minutes and go to the DMV and pay for them and get your plates instantly.
